Understanding Blockchain Confirmations: Bitcoin vs TRON vs Ethereum
Every cryptocurrency transaction must be validated and included into blocks by miners or network validators.
• Bitcoin (BTC): Typically requires 1 to 2 confirmations (10–20 minutes) due to Proof-of-Work block intervals.
• TRON (TRC20): Requires 19 blocks for irreversible finality, taking roughly 57 seconds.
• Ethereum (ERC20): Requires 12–32 epochs (2–3 minutes) on Proof-of-Stake consensus.
• Solana (SOL): Reaches finalized commitment within 1.2 seconds.
Exchangers automatically detect incoming transactions in the mempool and dispatch payouts the moment the requisite confirmation threshold is crossed.
